Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, My Turn…

Since Dean's recent post shared his Myers-Briggs scoring, I guess it is my turn. I am ISTJ (introverted, sensing, thinking, and judging). The MBTI literature sums up my profile type as "doing what should be done". Here are some of the characteristics listed:

- ISTJs are nothing if not dependable. (I liked reading this.)

- Day-to-day living is driven by structure, schedule, and order. (True, true, and true.)

- ISTJs are organized, compulsive, private, and trustworthy (I am an Eagle Scout.)

- Famous ISTJs: Thomas (Christ's disciple), George Washington, and Henry Ford.

- Fictional ISTJs: Joe Friday, from Dragnet, and Fred Mertz, from I Love Lucy.

I’m not sure if I totally believe that one's personality can be labeled by a test, but it is an interesting exercise to go through with a group of co-workers. Knowing more about yourself and others can only improve how you work together.
